The personal information we collect.

We collect and process the following information:

  • Online identifiers such as IP Address and Cookies

If you submit an enquiry, we collect and process:

  • Name

  • Email address 

  • Location

  • Company, School, College or Uni

If you are applying to take part in a Brainery event, we will collect the following additional information:

  • Date of Birth

  • Address

  • Phone Number

  • Gender

  • Ethnicity

  • Information that helps us understand your social economic background

  • Shoe size (for PPE purposes)

  • Disabilities or additional needs relevant to the Regeneration Brainery Programme

  • Dietary Requirements

How we get your information and why we have it.

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Contact information that you submit via the online enquiry forms – this is so we can respond to your enquiry

  • Contact information that you submit when applying to our programme - this is so we can contact you about your participation with any Regeneration Brainery Events.

  • Online identifiers – this is so we can ensure that our website is giving you the best online experience and for helping us understand how you interact with our website

  • Programme requirements – Regeneration Brainery runs daylong to weeklong programmes and networking events, which sometimes require PPE for live site visits. Therefore, we ask relevant questions to ensure safety procedures are followed. Additionally, as lunch is provided, we collect dietary requirements to accommodate your personal needs. Disability-related questions are also asked to ensure all specific requirements are met and that any necessary reasonable adjustments can be made.

  • Our commitment to diversity and inclusion – As a not-for-profit organisation, we exist to promote equality and diversity within the property industry. This includes ensuring we reach underrepresented groups from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as maintaining a gender-balanced programme.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from Mailchimp when you subscribe to a mailing list. This is used to send you relevant marketing emails.

In some instances, we may be required to share your information with other agencies, such as the police.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information are your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting info@regenerationbrainery.co.uk

How we store your personal information. 

Your information is securely stored within the platform which you enquire - either Mailchimp or directly through forms submitted via the website. These are only accessed by relevant employee via secure log in. Information stored when applying to the programme is securely stored on our system.

Personal data of all applicants is retained only while the application process is active and throughout each bootcamp. Once the bootcamp has ended, we will remove data from our system for anyone who has not been successfully accepted onto the programme.

Where personal data is inaccurate - such as when we are unable to contact an applicant via their email or phone number - it is removed from our database.

If you complete the programme, your information will be retained so that relevant opportunities can be shared with you. This is reviewed annually at the start of each academic year via a questionnaire, where we will ask whether you still wish to be contacted by Regeneration Brainery. If you choose not to be contacted, we will remove your details from our contact database, and you will no longer receive updates from us. You are also welcome to request removal at any time by emailing info@regenerationbrainery.co.uk.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website or app; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access or loss of your data.

How we disclose your information.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

Business partners for the performance however not personal data will be shared without your prior consent. For example, we may share your name and email address with companies offering pre-agreed apprenticeships, work experience or mentoring if required.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets, your personal information may be transferred to the new owner as part of the transaction.

  • Legal Obligations: If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our staff, customers or others.

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
